ABOUT EMMA:

Emma Farrarons is an award-winning author and illustrator, winner of the prestigious 2025 Klaus Flugge Prize for her debut picture book illustration My Hair is as Long as a River by Charlie Castle, published by Macmillan Children’s Books. She is also the creator of the bestselling Mindfulness Colouring Book series, which has brought calm and creativity to more than a million readers worldwide.

Based in South East London, Emma carries a sketchbook wherever she goes, turning everyday moments into visual stories. Born in Cebu, Philippines, and raised in Paris, she grew up surrounded by books and drawing. Before fully embracing picture book illustration, she spent over 16 years as a designer at Macmillan Children’s Books.

Her author debut, Wands Away: Learning to Fly—the first in a four-book series with Simon & Schuster about a young witch’s first days at school—is out now. She is currently working on new titles with Rocket Bird Books and Walker Books.
